Aves de Sotavento, Venezuela Saturday, November 7th 2009
Just had a great week at the Venezuelan Aves islands. Like last year the Aves Club, who have been going yearly for about 40 years organised the trip. This year, however we were going to the first group. (Aves de Sotavento) This group was the site of a major Dutch victory over the French fleet in 1678. The French on their way to capture Curacao where drawn into the shallow reef, where they perished. (Otherwise this blog might have been written in French). Last year i got knocked in my eye by accident and spend almost the whole week aboard the Zeelandia in "sick bay". This year, I got a whole week of diving, fishing, camping and incredibly delicious food prepared by the Aves chefs du Jour.

jullie moeten een keer naar st.maarten komen(sicke plek heet de wildernis hele mooie break en je kan er makkelijk ook omheen pedellen wordt je lkkr niet moe xD maar op kanoa is het wel chill vindt ik

Hey Jelmer! Long time man! Wanneer kom je weer een keer langs? Ik weet niet zoveel van de cameras, verschillende mensen hebben pics gemaakt. En ik kreeg alles op een dvd.. Zag een dikke Nikon en een 30d van Cannon tussen de cameras meeste met 300mm lenzen. Gr ingmar

Yo Ingmar, mooie trip maar met watvoor lens heb je die pica's gemaakt, ziet er goed uit, beetje fisheye-achtig haast.

1 break? Zeker 20... We zagen al A frame potential bij ienie mienie swell.. Ik mis in NL de chille lineup sfeer zoals Kanoa.. Die drukte brengt het slechtste voort uit surfers.. Maar NL heeft definitely zijn spots..
