After a nice session at Sprecks we drove up the Haleakala volcano, which is 10000ft high. The road alone is beautiful and the scenery changes a lot. From Paia the volcanos summit is always covered in clouds. As you drive up the mountain you drive through the clouds into the clearest sky you'd ever see. The sight is amazing. You can see the big island in the distance. We watched the sunset and everything turned red. It's such a amazing feeling to stand and lookout over the clouds. The temperature difference is also something I haven't seen before. An hour before we went to the volcano I was windsurfing in my shorts, on the volcano it was freezing. I had two pants on, t-shirt, longsleeve, sweather and a jacket and still almost froze to death. (Of course I freeze a bit fast)
