We decided to share Tim and Jaspers car in order to make this trip a bit more economic. We where joined by Jesse from Belgium and first headed to the sailmaker to fix my 4.5 and Jaspers 5.0. The sailmakers loft is next to the shape room of the shaper from JP and all the JP prototypes come from that place. We continued in the direction of the Table mountain to Muizenberg, where the surf looked like one big mushburger. We didn't bother to go in. Following the coastline, we found a great promising break. Too bad, it consisted only out of one peak which was packed with surfers. The next beach was vishoek, but it being to mushy most of us stayed on the beach while Jasper and Jesse went in. Too bad for them, because Hilde spotted a big whale waving its tail in the air. Still hungry for some surf, we headed for Llandudno through the beautiful Chapmans peak. Chapmans peak is a mountain road along the coast. It offers a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Llandudno made the journey complete, with small 2-3ft hollow waves. The water however, was freezing.
