I just found these pics somewhere on my computer. These were taken about a year ago, when Playa Kanoa, our main surf break, had a new sealord. This caribbean reef shark is harmless, but it scared the living daylight out of us. It was totally curious about these strange dangeling things sitting on boards. Duco, Tico, Hilde and I went looking for it, armed with snorkles and a trow-away camera. It found us way before we found it and circled around us, even went right under us. With water no deeper then 2 metres, we had no where to go. Fortunately, it was just curiousity, not hunger, that drove this fish to investigate our surfspot.
